Witness the wonder of the mini PRATONE®, shrinking the vastness of the original 1972 giant design. This piece exhibits an intriguing play on proportions, with the base proudly showcasing the ‘Pratone’ inscription and 42 flexible stems stretching in myriad directions, emphasizing its radical aura.

Since the mid-1960s, Giorgio Ceretti, Piero Derossi, and Riccardo Rosso have interpreted architecture and design as a means of engaging in the social and political struggles of the period. Reunited in Turin, with the technical assistance of Piero Gilardi, they designed their first polyurethane foam furniture with an anti-design attitude and approach. Over time, their work took on an educational, sociopolitical, and cultural function, so much so that in 1972 they were invited to participate in the exhibition Italy: The New Domestic Landscape, curated by Emilio Ambasz, at the MOMA in New York. Their work was recognized and acclaimed by international critics. The team then continued its political activity within the radical movement through seminars and critical-theoretical contributions with various collaborations. After the active, lively, and spirited revolutionary experience of the 1970s, each of them chose to pursue their own path as designers, educators, and architects, either individually or through other collaborations.
