Description
ANDY'S CACTUS

The collaboration between GUFRAM and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts continues with the arrival of three new limited edition versions of ANDY’S CACTUS®, in orange, green, and white. Following the presentation of the first limited edition in 2022, the collection is enriched with further interpretations that amplify the encounter between radical design and pop imagery.

Created in 1972 by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello, CACTUS® is much more than a coat rack: it is a domestic sculpture that has transformed a functional object into an aesthetic icon, irreverent and timeless, deliberately breaking with the bourgeois conventions of modern furniture and replacing rationality with irony, function with concept. The new limited edition of ANDY’S CACTUS®, 99 pieces for each variant, renews the dialogue between GUFRAM's provocative spirit and the irreverent aesthetic that inspired the object since its creation.

A combination that celebrates creative freedom, unconventional thinking, and the desire to challenge the rules of traditional design. The three new colors, orange, green, and white, are not mere decorative variations, but visual references to the vocabulary of Warholian pop art, which amplify the expressive force of CACTUS® and reinforce its iconic value.
