Head in the clouds and hands in the workshop: Nubola is a lucid dream of a sofa, the brainchild of brilliant and non–conformist designer Gaetano Pesce, radical dreamer par excellence.
Airy like the best of ideas, and solid as a luxurious sofa, Nubola is the encounter between the genius of Gaetano Pesce and the artisanal wisdom of Meritalia®'s workshops, a place where craftsmen and designers join forces to find new forms of manufacturing, to challenge material limits and overcome them.
Like puffs of a cottony cloud, irregular volumes of malleable polyurethane come together to shape a non–symmetrical and unpredictable capitonné, clad in various fabrics or leathers, with buttons dotting the billowing landscape. The sofa is built with a solid structure of wood and steel, and an internal system of elastic belts to ensure maximum support and comfort. Additionally, Nubola’s solid seat and its vaporous backrest can be upholstered in different colour combinations, turning every interior into a vibrant skyscape.
Nubola is available in three variants: as a two–seater sofa, three–seater sofa and armchair. A marriage between Meritalia®’s artisanal manufacture and its radically incoherent approach, Nubola is a compass that redefines the coordinates of the room and becomes the centre of attention, wherever it is placed.
